Prowler
(A.K.A. "The Yankee Prowler")
A very nice, basic, Estes, skill-level 1 kit, bought on clearance for $9.00.  I chose to build it shorter than normal by simply leaving out one of the body tubes.  I probably should have also modified it for flight on D sized engines but I didn't think of it at the time.  The kit actually comes with some extra parts including a transition section that is not used.  I'm saving it for some other project.  I painted my Prowler in a nice US flag motif and impressed myself with the results.  This is an excellent kit that I would recommend for anyone.

Launch: First flight was with a B6-4.  The rocket is light for its size and performed fairly well.  Nice, straight flight with a good recovery.  The chute got a little toasted, but that was my fault.  2 more flights were made using a C5-3, then a C6-5.  Both provided excellent flights.  I really like this kit and will buy another if I can find one.  I understand that they are out of production now.  I like to think of it as a mini Mean Machine.
