Skywinder

I like the whole concept of helicopter recovery so couldn't resist trying this one out.  The instructions can be a bit tricky, but it goes together fairly easily.  It appears to be a very "draggy" system and also requires a lot of clay in the nose to make it stable.  Package says the weight is 2.5 oz, but mine was more like 4 oz. Lots of plastic in this one.

Launch:  First through 3rd launches occured all on the same windless day.  I strongly recommend only C engines in this puppy.  First flight on a B6-4 was too close for comfort.  Subsequent flights on C5-3's were acceptable.  There is one major problem I haven't been able to overcome.  On every flight, at least one of the rotor blades would pop off and float down on its own.  The rocket recovers in a semi-helicopter mode but is not damaged.  The whole system for attaching the blades to the rocket is questionable so I will have to figure out some way to make them stay where they are supposed to.
