Thud
I love this rocket. It's bright yellow, big and impressive in flight.  The rocket had much larger fins originally, but I trimmed them down a bit after the first launch.  It rides up on a big D engine and comes down on a parachute made of a black hankerchief.  The bodytube is cardboard and the nosecone is a foam/tissue paper composite.

Launch:

First launch was with a D12-3 and indicated that there was far too much fin on this rocket.  Weathervaning was substantial but not cataclismic.  The chute deployed nicely and returned the rocket to within 50 feet of the pad.  Following this first experience I trimmed the fins and launched several more times.  Spectacular!!  It goes up straight and floats gently down on that hankerchief every time.  Beautiful flights and graceful returns.  What more could I ask for?
